Principal's Message

IMG_4225.JPG

Dear Families,

I want to officially welcome all of you to the 2014-2015 School Year! Summer has come and gone and now it is time to continue with the excellent traditions of Leona Jackson School. I encourage you to continue to be involved and actively support our PTA. Positive parent involvement in school-related activities leads to consistently high levels of student achievement and school connectedness, which is what we want for all Jackson Knights!  Jackson, fresh off of a banner year of student performance, has been busy preparing for another amazing year.

This will be my first year as principal of Jackson School and I am thrilled at the opportunity to get to know all of you and engage in the educational process together. The middle school years are critical times of development for students and families alike and I look forward to working with all of you to make this year successful. I am a lifelong educator, who brings a firm commitment to students and families, as well as a love of learning and problem solving. I have taught at the elementary and middle school levels, provided service as a school counselor at the middle school level, and served as a school administrator in grades K-12 within the Paramount Unified School District. I look forward to building lasting relationships with each and every member of the Jackson School community.
